Adult Faith Enrichment Commission

Adult Faith Formation Commission

Chairperson - Tony Alley

The purpose of this Commission is to respond to the catechetical and spiritual needs of the adult and family communities of our parish. The commission hopes to achieve this through planning and implementing faith Enrichment experiences.

Adult Faith Formation

Chairperson - Don Dunlap

Adult Faith Formation plans and implements experiences to help adult parishioners deepen their Catholic beliefs and values. Current programs include events to enrich marriages and the families, Bible Study, Neighbors Joined in Faith (neighborhood based small groups), book discussions, retreats, as well as local and foreign pilgrimages. Adult parishioners are encouraged to attend programs as they desire.

Christ Renews His Parish (CRHP)

Chairperson - Karen Cecil

Christ Renews His Parish retreat is a spiritual two day retreat that is held at the parish complex twice each year. The men and women's retreats are held separately and on different weekends. The atmosphere is casual and you will begin friendships that will last a lifetime.

The presenting team is made up of parishioners who have attended previous renewal weekends. Parishioners share with one another the ways they have found meaning, hope, peace and their lives. The experience is personal, inspirational, and fulfilling. Many participants feel that the weekend was among the most powerful and positive experiences of their lives.

Christ Renews His Parish is now recommended by the renewal office of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.

Dedication and Devotion to our Savior (D.A.D.S.)

Chairperson - Dave Watson

Dedication And Devotion to our Savior is a spiritually based, weekly gathering focused on our Catholic/Christian beliefs as men. This is accomplished through the reading of scripture, reflections, fellowship and group prayer. Some community outreach is also a part of our program. "We battle today's society through prayer. There is a lot of work, yet to be done".

Marriage Preparation

Chairpersons - Don and Sharon Haggenjos

This ministry assists engaged couples in their personal preparation for marriage.

Meetings: Sponsor couples meet couple to couple with engaged couples. We also meet to orient new sponsor couples to familiarize them with the marriage preparation program.

Ministry of Moms Sharing (M.O.M.S.)

Chairperson - Jennifer Rakow

The purpose of M.O.M.S. is to create in women an awareness of the inner sacred self, while at the same time teaching new ways to inspire, encourage, and affirm each other and their ministry as a mother. Throughout the process of personal and spiritual growth, women have the opportunity to clarify their values, claim their own giftedness, and bring these new strengths to their family relationships and to the Christian community. M.O.M.S. is a 9-week journey with optional continuing fellowship with current and past M.O.M.S. participants, through book talks, retreats and other special events.

Respect Life

Chairperson - Jill McCollam

The general purpose of the parish Respect Life Committee is to make parishioners more aware of pro-life issues and needs, and to recruit volunteers to help meet those needs. Pro-life issues include abortion, infanticide, euthanasia, capital punishment, AIDs, hunger, social and economic justice, persons with disabilities, housing, post-abortion reconciliation, peace, health, civil rights, and environment. We believe that all human life is sacred.

RCIA Process

Chairperson - Deacon Ron & Susie Reimer

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process through which people become members of the Roman Catholic Church. The journey is open to anyone without obligation or cost. Catholics may also participate in order to renew or deepen their understanding of the Church teachings. This is also the process for adult Catholics who wish to be confirmed. The culmination of the session is the celebration of the sacraments of baptism, confirmation and first Eucharist at the Easter Vigil.
